| LG's Curved Display |
Just roll up your display and take it with you on a ride. LG is making a display that can be rolled up to three centimeters. Some of the televisions are available in market that are curved a little bit to get a better viewing experience. Its 18-inch 30R OLED display which is actually roll-able while the display is working.
It's a HD display with a resolution of 1280x810px, this technology is still under prototype stage while it was displayed at CES(Consumer Electronics Show Las Vegas 2016).
While the company has not disclosed any details regarding the technology used but the older reports suggest they might have used polyimide instead of plastic which is more flexible.
The display can be easily rolled like a newspaper. The display will be ultra thin or paper thin. It opens some of the new ideas of having a animated display of a magazine cover.
