India has made a history again by launching a new Smart Phone that costs just Rs. 251. Yes that's not a joke, a Noida based company "Ringing Bells" has made a phone that will just cost Rs. 251. The online booking of this has been started from 18th of Feb at 6:00 AM and will be ending by 21st Feb at 8:00 PM at www.freedom251.com. The configuration of the phone is as under:

• It comes with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor that is enough for daily needs.
• It will support 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB.
• It has a 4" WVGA IPS display.
• The phone comes with android 5.1 (lollipop) installed which is fairly good.
• It comes with a 3.2 MP back camera and 0.3 MP selfie camera.
• Battery has a capacity of 1450 mAH that is sufficient for daily task.
• The phone supports dual sim as well as 3G network.

By looking on the spec sheet it is hard to believe that this phone just costs Rs. 251. The phone with same category of specs comes with a price tag lying between 2000 - 3000(approximately). The company does not provide any replacement guaranty but it provides a 1 year warranty across 650+ service centres in Pan India. The company claims to deliver the phone by 30th June 2016.

It is a big step taken by the company to take the direction of the country to a digital country by providing a smartphone that is in budget of every Indian. It comes with some pre-loaded apps like women safety, swatch bharat, fishermen, farmer, medical, whatsapp, playstore, facebook, youtube and some othe messaging apps.

The question lies here is that the will this new company be able to make the number of phones to quench the demand of this phone.
